Who is this DVD for?
Well simply put.. for you.. If you watch it and find it wasn’t for you then you can pass it on to someone who will need it hopefully :) Actually, I belong to a forum where I noticed a very large number of Rhinoceros users struggling with basic concepts for designing jewelery.. largely due to the fact that they studied rhinoceros tools but not the means of implementing them as practical functional jewelery, and guys with plug-in libraries are also a bit lost in some cases because they are hopelessly dependent on on those plug-in libraries to do the job for them and when those macro packages fail to deliver the goods this spectrum of users has no idea how to manually correct or redraw their designs using basic rhino functionality.
This is for you guys.. this is VERY VERY basic stuff.. I have found I learned this stuff a lot better from visual cues rather than books so when I was asked to retrain some of my coworkers I implemented this same system and copied a bit from the Matrix (c) Gemvision ｩ system of video tutorials. That original set of videos I posted on our forum gratis and the response to them was huge so I decided to do some more practical examples with better recording and better sound. The original set of videos is in a folder called bonus tutorials on the DVD (poor video and audio quality in some cases I’m afraid).
The other high quality recordings cover 6 separate rings, each one will cover a multitude of tools and to see those tools being put to practical use will hopefully be as useful to you as it has been to me. I have not edited any of this footage. If I went wrong I left it in the clip.. sometimes the trip back from a disaster has more information than one would believe possible ;)
